The BORRIES Service ensures the availability of your marking systems and keeps your production running smoothly without interruption. Our technical service team supports you with spare parts, maintenance, modifications, repairs and the modernisation of existing marking systems – including those from other manufacturers. Businesses benefit from rapid response times, clear points of contact and flexible solutions, ensuring that the production process continues to run smoothly.

In the ‘Sample marking’ section, you will find information and the form for having your products marked free of charge. For information on warranty, commissioning, repairs, training or maintenance, please refer to the relevant section.

In the separate downloads section, you will find all service forms and various download options to assist you in working with our service technicians.

Sample marking

The free BORRIES sample marking service shows you in advance what the marking will look like on your component and which method will achieve the best result. On request, we can test several options and document the results in an application report.

Procedure for sample marking after contact has been made:

  1. Complete the ‘Sample Marking’ form PDF-form „Sample Marking“
  2. Send in a sample component with the details of your marking
  3. Receive the marked workpiece, including the application report, within two weeks

Warranty

New BORRIES marking machines come with a 12-month warranty without on-site service. You can optionally extend this warranty to include on-site service or extend it to 24 or 36 months.

3-year BORRIES guarantee

The 3-year BORRIES guarantee has automatically applied to selected standard marking machines since 1 January 2024.

The free manufacturer’s guarantee is valid for 36 months, commences on the date of purchase and covers the same scope of services as the statutory warranty.

Models with a 36-month warranty:

  • BM 73 and BM 76 roll marking machines
  • 312, 313, 314, 315, 317, 322 scribe/needle marking machines

Note regarding the guarantee:
Valid until further notice. The optional on-site service is not included in the free guarantee.

Commissioning

Commissioning a BORRIES marking machine reduces installation times and ensures optimal marking results. Our service engineers carry out the commissioning either at our factory or at your location and hand over the system fully operational.

Repairs

BORRIES repairs ensure that your marking systems remain fully functional – even for equipment from other manufacturers. Our team inspects, repairs and documents every step of the process to ensure your machine is back up and running as quickly as possible.

Repair procedure:

  1. Download and complete the repair form
  2. Send in the complete marking unit (including control unit, cables and marker) along with the repair form
  3. Receive confirmation of receipt and a proposal on how to proceed

Training courses

Tailored BORRIES training courses provide maintenance engineers, set-up technicians and programmers with the specialist knowledge required to operate marking systems efficiently and optimise marking processes. The courses cover the fundamentals of marking technology, traceability and the specific operation of your system.

The training sessions take place in the BORRIES training room or at your site. All participants will receive comprehensive training materials.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the reliable operation of your marking system and prevents unplanned downtime. BORRIES offers maintenance contracts for recurring services as well as one-off maintenance and repair services both in the home country and abroad.

Complete overhaul

A general overhaul reduces long-term repair costs and enhances the reliability of your BORRIES marking machine. The overhaul includes a full technical inspection, the replacement of wear-prone components and optimisation of performance.

Our technical support team also provides assistance for marking machines from other manufacturers.

Retrofit

Retrofit modernises your existing marking machine and saves you up to 60% compared to buying a new machine. You get state-of-the-art control technology, optimised components and a longer service life – without unnecessary investment.

BORRIES upgrades mechanical and electronic components, enhancing performance, reliability and flexibility. We can also modernise third-party products.
