Introducing Borries

At Borries Markier-Systeme GmbH, we have been developing and manufacturing industrial marking systems and associated tools in Pliezhausen since 1952.

Our 86 employees design and produce standard and customised machines for the permanent, direct, tamper-proof and traceable marking of components and industrial workpieces. Our technology portfolio includes conventional marking technology, needle marking, scribe marking, laser marking and type wheel marking – a former BORRIES patent.

Customers from the automotive, rail, steel and defence industries, medical technology and the aerospace sector use Borries’ marking systems for identification, traceability and quality assurance. We are certified to ISO 9001 and 14001. We operate globally with subsidiaries in the USA and Namibia, as well as representatives in Asia, South Africa, South America, Eastern and Southern Europe. This ensures worldwide service and distribution of marking systems.

Customers use our marking systems when they require permanent markings that are readable by both humans and machines. They deploy the machines worldwide in production lines, manufacturing cells, semi- and fully-automated processes, or at manual workstations. They are used to generate serial numbers, DataMatrix codes, barcodes, 2D codes, alphanumeric characters and logos.
