Founded in Ludwigsburg, Germany, by Otto Borries

1960
Distributor partnership with Automator (France)

1965
In-house production set up in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany

1970
National sales network set up in Germany

1978
Borries UK is founded

1981
Business acquired by Lothar Freiherr von Arnim

1985
Worldwide distribution of the type-wheel technology (Borries patent)

1986
Borries USA is founded

1995
Delivery of the first scribing equipment with integrated camera-reading system

1999
Borries Brasil is founded

2000
Delivery of the first DataMatrix marking system, including the sensor for reading

2001
Borries France is founded

2003
Development of a high-precision marking system for aerospace applications

2005
Entry into the Eastern European markets

2007
Launch of the first mobile VIN repair systems

2009
Development of a marking system for use in medical technology to assure traceability for sterile items

2010
Introduction of high-speed drive technology and realizing a modular control system concept for specific applications

2014
Takeover of 1/3 of the company shares of EnKo Staudinger in Augsburg
World premiere: Introduction of OCV, automatic reading and testing in three shift companies
Expansion of the headquarter in Pliezhausen adding 740 m²

2018
Complete takeover of EnKo Staudinger GmbH in Augsburg (jig construction)
